    Teesta River - Teesta River originates from the Tso Lhamo Lake in the North Sikkim and forms a natural border between the West Bengal and Sikkim. Ultimately, this 315 km long river flows into the Brahmaputra River. Various rivulets arising from the Thangu, Donkia-La and Yumthang Ranges join this river. The main tributary, River Rangeet, joins River Teesta just before the Teesta Bridge. E Teesta River is ideal for white water rafting.

    Odlabari - Odlabari is located at a distance of around 17.1 km from Monpong. Major attraction of this town is the Odlabari Tea Estate. This beautiful town is located between the two rivers, Chel and Ghis.

     

    Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary - Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary is situated near the National Highway-31, which links the north-eastern region with the rest of India. This sanctuary covers an area of around 96 sq. km and is famous for elephants. The other animals found in this area are the Indian bison, leopard, Himalayan languor and wild boar. It is also home to the royal Bengal tiger and different species of reptiles. Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary is home to various birds like hornbill, green-pigeon, roller, common peafowl and finch. A popular attraction near this sanctuary is the Matiya Dam.
