    Dudhni - Dudhni is about 20 km away from Silvassa.  It is a large riverside by the Damanganga River. Dudhni proffers a variety of activities like water sports like jet skis, canoeing, speed boats and kayaking, hiking and also a chance to see the tribes of the area.  For trekking enthusiasts, there are many treks or walks that one can undertake through the winding pathways across the thick forests. Visitors can also see how the tribes live in settlements. Trekkers are allowed to set up their tents near the banks of the river. The drive to Dudhni is very scenic and the roads are filled with bends and curves. The Madhuban Dam on the River Damanganga, is about 40 km away from Silvassa. There are plenty of water sports available here like the water scooters, aqua bikes, bumper boats, speed boats, kayaks, canoes and passenger boats.

     

    Khanvel - Khanvel is about 25 km away from the capital city of Silvassa. This place is synonymous with green pastures and tree-lined roads. The River Sakartod flows through Khanvel and there are pastoral style cottages and hotels. The Van Vihar Tourist complex in Khanvel houses a deer park, a greenhouse and hotels on the riverbank. There is also a cactus house here.  The roads leading to Khanvel are lined with tall trees and lands bounded by verdant green hills.     Silvassa Vasona Lion Safari - One of the major attractions of Silvassa, is the Lion Safari which is about 10 km away from the capital city of Silvassa and is spread over twenty acres. It is basically a part of the area of Dadra & Nagar Haveli Wildlife Sanctuary. The Lion Safari Wildlife Park is enclosed in the wildlife sanctuary and there is a wall built around it. Asiatic Lions can be seen in this Safari Park.

     

    Tribal cultural Museum - As Silvassa is home to many tribes, the Tribal Museum at Silvassa is a tribute and an effort to safeguard and depict the rich legacy of tribal culture and society in its untouched form.  The ethnic tribal traditions and legacy of Silvassa is conserved in this museum. The entrance to the museum is elegantly made of handmade garlands or torans. On display are a good set of masks, musical equipment, fishing implements and life-size sculptures. The museum also showcases puppets, dolls depicting the tribal way of life, tribal knick-knacks, etc. The clay models in the museum also add to the attraction. The walls of the museum are adorned with bows, daggers, spears, etc used by the tribes. Apart from ancient artifacts, there are many photographs of tribal festivals and rituals.

     

    Vanganga Lake Garden - The Vanganga Lake Garden is about 5 km away from the capital city of Silvassa. Spread across acres of greenery, it is a well maintained park with jogging tracks, Japanese style wooden bridges and thatched huts here and there.

    There are beds of flowers which draw a lot of people when in full bloom. It is good to visit here in the evening and tourists can just relax and go for long walks and there are a lot of activities for kids too. There is also a large lake where boating can be done. This garden has been part of many Hindi films and a lot of song and dance sequences have been shot here. 

     

    Church of Our Lady of Piety - The Church of Our Lady of Piety was built by the Portuguese in the late 18th century and it is believed to have been built around 1886 or 1889. The Church is one of the oldest standing buildings in Silvassa.  The most stunning structure of the church is the skillfully bedecked interior and outer arches. The Church of Our Lady of Piety is located just opposite the well-known Tribal Museum. There are in fact many Catholic churches in Silvassa due to the settlement of the Portuguese here for many centuries.

     

    Bindrabin Temple - The Bindrabin Temple is also known as Tadkeshwara Temple. It is situated on the banks of River Sakartod and is devoted to Lord Shiva.
