    Rudri - Rudri is one of the popular tourist locations in Dhamtari District. It is believed that during the reigns of Rudra Dev, Rudri was the erstwhile capital of Kanker Kingdom. Rudreshwar Temple on the banks of river Mahanadi is a prime tourist attraction. Besides, there is a large reservoir built across Mahanadi River that offers beautiful view of the surroundings.

     

    Sihava - Sihava is one of the chief pilgrimage centres of Chhattisgarh which is located in proximity to Dhamtari. Surrounded by forests and mountains, this small township is located on the embankment of Mahanadi River. Karbeshwar Temple, Ganesh Ghat, Ashram of Hringi Hathi Khot, Danteshwari Cave, Amrit Kund and Mahamai Temple are noteworthy holy sites of Sihava.

     

    Kanker Palace - Kanker Palace is a prime historic attraction of Dhamtari that has a beautiful garden along with decorated sitting area. A part of ancient palace is converted into a heritage hotel which is managed by the royal family residing in the palace complex. Events are organised in the palace that include traditional dance and music.

     

    Rudreshwar Temple - Rudreshwar Temple is a famous holy shrine in the Dhamtari District. The shrine of Rudreshwar is located on the banks of Mahanadi River in Rudri. This temple enshrines a figurine of Lord Shiva who is its presiding deity. As per historians, the temple dates back to Chandra Dynasty. Chandravanshi King Rudra Dev is believed to have consecrated the shrine.
