    Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara - The construction of this gurudwara started in the mid-1960s, after Major General Harkirat Singh of the Indian Army discovered it. This gurudwara can be reached only on foot from Gobindghat, on the Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway. GurudwaraHemkund Sahib is a well-known Sikh shrine, dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. This gurudwara is located in the Himalayas at an altitude of 4329 m and is surrounded by seven snow-capped mountain peaks that are adorned by Nishan Sahib on the cliffs.

     

    Pandukeshwar - One of the major attractions of this village is the YogadhyanBadri Temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Other attractions like Panth, Mata Murti Temple, Mana Village and Alka Puri are located close to PandukeshwarPandukeshwar are a small village in the Chamoli District, at a height of 6300 ft above sea level. As per the legend, this village was established by King Pandu, father of the Pandavas.

     

    Nanda Devi National Park - Peaks like Trishul, Dunagiri, Nanda Devi, Nanda Devi East and Bethartoli encircle this park. This park can be accessed from Joshimath that serves as a base camp for the park. The Nanda Devi National Park, situated at an altitude of 7,817 m, is part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. Towards the north-west lies the Valley of Flowers National Park. The park spreads over an area of 630.33 sq km and encompasses the Nanda Devi Sanctuary.

     

    Lakshman Temple - The Lakshman Temple is situated on the banks of Hemkund Lake near the famous GurudwaraHemkund Sahib. It is believed that this temple has been constructed on the site where Lord Ram's younger brother, Lakshman, performed penance.

     

    Kagbhusandi Tal - Kagbhusandi Tal is a small lake at the bottom of the HathiParvat. This beautiful emerald coloured lake is a kilometre long and is situated at an altitude of 5,230 m, near Kankul Pass.

     

    Gobindham - Godindham is a small village on the banks of Pushpavati River. It is popularly known as Ghangaria and is the last village on the way to Hemkund Sahib. This village is situated on the upper northern Himalayan ranges at a height of 3049 m.
