    Baijnath Temple - Baijnath is located at a distance of 16 km from the town of Kausani, in the Katyuri Valley. Lying in the ancient town of Baijnath, the town is historically and religiously significant. Once known as Kartikyapura, Baijnath was the capital of the Katyuri dynasty of kings who ruled Uttaranchal during 12th and 13th centuries. Constructed in the 12th century, the Baijnath Temple holds significance. This is because, according to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva and Parvati were married at the confluence of River Gomati and Garur Ganga. Located at an elevation of 1,125 m above sea level, the town is famous for its temples of Shiva, Ganesh and Parvati, along with those of Chandika, Kuber, Surya and Brahma. Known popularly as Bhramari Devi or Kote-ke-mai temple, its key feature is its main deity, Goddess Bhramari, who is facing north. From the south direction of the temple, devotees offer prayers. During a grand fair held annually during August, the idol is taken out in a procession adorned by celebrations all through the surrounding regions.

     

    Sumitranandan Pant Gallery - Sumitranandan Pant Gallery is dedicated to the Hindi poet Sumitranandan Pant, whose birth place is Kausani. The museum showcases his manuscripts of the poems and draft copies of his literary works. Collections of the museum also include articles used day-to-day by him, the awards received by him, and also the letters written and received by him. With its collection of over hundreds of English and Hindi books, displayed in glass shelves, the museum has become an interesting place for literature lovers. Every year, to mark the birth anniversary of the famous poet, a poetry conference is organised in this museum. This poetry symposium marks the poet's birth anniversary.

     

    Lakshmi Ashram - Lakshmi Ashram was founded by Catherine Hillman in the year 1948. The founder of the ashram, who later became famous as Sarlaben, was a disciple of Mahatma Gandhi. Being an admirer of Mahatma Gandhi, Sarlaben left London in 1931 to join his movements. Popularly known as Sarla Ashram, it is an educational institution that was established in 1948. It is a Gandhian Basic Institute of Education only for girls. At the foothills of Himalaya in Kausani, the Ashram runs a boarding school for the girls. Being self-sufficient, the ashram runs the school independently. Established with the intent to help the girls in the Himalayan ranges, the ashram teaches them several skills, like growing vegetables, cooking, caring for the animals and cleaning. By working for the progress of Kumaoni women, the ashram aids them in becoming self-dependent. Main objective of the ashram is to provide Kumaoni women a safe shelter and to equip them with basic skills to lead an independent life. In the ashram, many orphaned girls and women find abode.

     

    Pinnath - Pinnath can be reached by trekking for 5 km from Kausani. Known for its temple of the same name, it is located at the foot of the Gopalkot Peak that overlooks the upper portion of the Kosi Valley. The peak is located at an elevation of 2,750 m above sea level. Situated on the way to the peak of the hill above the village, the temple has a small conical structure that sits at a height of 2.5 to 3 m. Dedicated to Bhairon, the temple has a square, slated structure to its north. To the south of the temple lies a door, and is adorned with figures of rajahs on its walls. Indian arch, which has representations of the five Pandavas on its sides, form the roof of the portico. The adytum contains images of Mahadeva and Debi. Every year on October, a famous fair is celebrated at the village.
