The Sukha Tal out of these remains dry for most of the year and is filled up only during the monsoons.Sattal has derived its name for being home to seven consecutive lakes. These lakes lie at an altitude of 1370 m above the sea level beneath the fruity orchards of Mehragaon Valley. All the seven lakes are freshwater lakes filled mostly by underground springs.

Bhimtal - It also has an old mountain route that goes from Kathgodam to Kumaon, up to Nepal and Tibet.
